AGENDA
- Topic: Physical Freedom and the Body Journey: A look at the social forces that affect the engagement of adolescent girls in physical activity. Guest Speaker: Sachi Nagasawa.
Sachi, who is currently completing an M.A. in counseling psychology at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto, is examining the intersection of physical activity and body image development among girls of diverse backgrounds. Her experience with women’s health issues includes working as a sexual assault crisis line worker, a women’s centre peer supporter, an eating disorder centre volunteer and a student counselor at a university counseling centre.
- Coalition Business – May marks the start of a new year for the Coalition. Membership renewal forms will be available ($25 organizations; $10 individuals.)
A roster for the 2008 steering committee will be presented for voting. If you are interested in having your name put forward for election, please contact Moira Slater
